Huntress, Gagnon, Yeaton, Lovejoy, and Bubar Score Feature Wins on Walter The Ice Cream Man Tribute Night at Lee USA Speedway

Lee, NH - 8/9/25 — Lee USA Speedway paid tribute to a beloved community figure on Friday, August 8th, as fans and racers alike gathered for Walter The Ice Cream Man Tribute Night. With a packed card of racing and the spirit of Walter’s love for racing and family in the air, five divisions delivered exciting feature events.

The Super Streets division saw Rochester, NH’s Cam Huntress (#42) storm to victory in the 40-lap feature, holding off a hard-charging Justin Beecher (#57, Billerica, MA) for the win. Hudson, NH’s Charles Baldwin (#2) claimed third, while Corey Fanning (#11, Mapleville, RI) and Donald Belisle (#7, Merrimack, NH) rounded out the top five. Heat races set the stage with Corey Fanning and Wade Gelinas (#37, Limington, ME) taking checkers, but in the feature it was Huntress’ night as he celebrated his first win of the summer.

The Ridge Runners once again thrilled the fans, as Carl Gagnon (#99NH, Merrimack, NH) topped the 30-lap main event. He fended off Gage Osborne (#55, Plaistow, NH) and Brian Caswell (#47, Buxton, ME) in a hard-fought battle to the finish. Stone Slattery (#99, Pelham, NH) and Derek McKeen (#1, Hiram, ME) completed the top five after battling through a field that saw plenty of side-by-side action. Heat races went to Jessica Bosowski (#5, Hudson, NH) and Zacary Fraser (#37Z, Nottingham, NH), but the feature spotlight belonged to Gagnon.

The Six Shooters have become one of the most competitive divisions at Lee, and Amherst, NH’s Michael Yeaton (#25NH) once again showed his dominance. Yeaton claimed both the heat race and the 20-lap feature win, holding off Michael Casey (#57, Pittsfield, NH) and Randy Washburn (#49, Rochester, NH).
Lincoln Herschel (#8, Hartland, VT) rounded out the field, while Yeaton added another trophy to his growing 2025 campaign.

The popular Crown Vics delivered their usual brand of excitement, with Sanford, ME’s Adam Lovejoy (#83) driving to victory in the 20-lap feature. He beat out Jacob Michaud (#23, Lebanon, ME) and Josh Valliere (#3, Rochester, NH) for the win. Traver Michaud (#28, Lebanon, ME) and Jake Guarino (#69, Litchfield, NH) rounded out the top five. Lovejoy also won his heat race, completing a clean sweep on tribute night.

The headline Pro Stock 60-lap feature capped the night with Corey Bubar (#12X, Windham, ME) powering to a statement victory. Bubar held off Dave Farrington Jr. (#23, Sabattus, ME) and Cole Robie (#29, Windham, ME) to take the checkered flag. Scarborough, ME’s Nicholas Cusack (#2) finished fourth, with Jimmy Renfrew Jr. (#00, Candia, NH) rounding out the top five. The race was filled with attrition, including early exits for Wayne Helliwell Jr. (#27, Dover, NH) and Casey Call (#90, Pembroke, NH), but Bubar proved unstoppable as he added another Pro Stock victory to his resume.

Walter The Ice Cream Man Tribute Night brought together fans, friends, and racers in a heartfelt evening that combined family, memories, and the roar of short track racing. Lee USA Speedway continues its 2025 season next Friday night with more thrilling action as championship battles tighten across all divisions.
