Doiron Dominates Mid-Season Shootout as Granite State Pro Stock Series Shines at Lee

Lee, NH – 7/26/25 – Fans packed the grandstands at Lee USA Speedway on Friday night for the Mid-Season Shootout, highlighted by the Granite State Pro Stock Series Iron Sight 125. With fireworks on the track, drivers across all divisions put on a thrilling show as the 2025 season reached its halfway point.

The Granite State Pro Stock Series returned to Lee for one of the biggest nights of the year, and the 125-lap main event was nothing short of spectacular. Berwick, Maine’s Joseph Doiron (#73D) proved unstoppable, working his way to the front and holding off some of New England’s best to score a marquee win. Doiron’s drive was measured and relentless, taking control in the closing laps and never looking back. Behind him, Mike Hopkins (#15) from Hermon, ME, surged late to claim second, while Center Conway, NH’s Gabe Brown (#47) rounded out the podium in third. Brandon Barker (#32) and Nicholas Cusack (#14) completed the top five, with a stacked field that featured stars like Jimmy Renfrew Jr., Dave Farrington Jr., and Wayne Helliwell Jr. battling deep into the pack.

It was a tough, attrition-filled night for the Super Streets, but Rochester’s Cam Huntress (#42) kept his nose clean and powered to victory in the 20-lap feature. Huntress bested Patrick Tanguay (#79) of Lebanon, ME, who came home second, and Donald Belisle (#7) of Merrimack, NH, who finished third. The division saw several contenders sidelined with mechanical issues, including Milton Duran and Justin Beecher, while Jason Curtis was disqualified after a tech incident.

The Ridge Runners once again delivered a barnburner, with Trystin Bodwell (#56) of Sanford, ME, taking the checkered flag in the 25-lap feature. Bodwell had to fend off a hard-charging Stone Slattery (#99), who climbed eight spots to finish second, while Buxton’s Brian Caswell (#47) drove to third. Trace Ayers (#63) and Callie Osborne (#77) rounded out the top five after an intense race that saw plenty of three-wide racing and late-race drama.

Amherst, NH’s Michael Yeaton (#25NH) once again showed his mastery of the Six Shooters, storming to victory in the 20-lap feature. Steve Miller Jr. (#79) of Grantham, NH, settled for second, while Pittsfield’s Michael Casey (#57) completed the podium. Randy Washburn and Lincoln Herschel filled out the top five, while veteran Steve Miller Sr. brought his #68 car home fourth.

The Crown Vics put on a classic Lee USA battle, with Jacob Michaud (#23) of Lebanon, ME, scoring the win after working through the field. His brother Traver Michaud (#28) wasn’t far behind, finishing second, while Adam Lovejoy (#83) of Sanford, ME, claimed third. Grantham, NH’s Steve Miller Jr. (#2) and his father Steve Miller Sr. (#28X) both cracked the top five, while Josh Valliere, Tucker Haskell, and Keith Walton all had strong runs in the ultra-competitive division.

With the Granite State Pro Stock Series headlining and Lee’s weekly divisions delivering action-packed races, the Mid-Season Shootout lived up to its billing. The crowd was treated not only to incredible racing but also to the spectacle of mid-season fireworks as the speedway celebrated summer in style.
