Oktoberfest was a “Pumpkin Smashing” Good Time!

Lee, NH- New Hampshire’s Center of Speed closed out the racing season this past weekend with Russ Conway’s Oktoberfest weekend. Two days of racing action after a full evening Friday of practice with well over 800 laps of racing action by over 275 cars across 20 divisions! Beautiful fall weather graced the 3/8th mile track over the 3 days which was enjoyed by many. On behalf of track General Manager John Esburnett and track owner Ben Bosowski thank you to all the race teams, fans and staff that spent any amount of time at the track this season!

The Senior Tour Auto Racers (STAR Tour) attended with two divisions. Henry Stampfl was the winner in the modified division and John Jalbert was the sportsman division winner. For more information related to the Senior Tour Auto Racers check them out on Facebook.

Northeastern Midget Association or NEMA had their regular and Lite’s division in attendance. PJ Stergios in the 88J won the NEMA Lite race while Randy Cabral in the 74 was the winner of the NEMA race. For full details check them out on Facebook or at nemaracing.com.

ProTruck Challenge series also took part in the festivities with the 72 of Ryan Kuhn taking the win. For full official results check out them out on Facebook.

Little Webb 350 Super’s made an appearance putting on what many called “the best super modified race they have ever seen.” Jeffery Battle parked his #14 in victory lane.

Pro-4 Modified’s of New England saw Rob Ricardi in the #0 take the win.

Super Street Summer Six Pack Series concluded on Saturday evening as well. 21 cars showed up to do battle in the 50-lap main event, while only 3 showed up with a chance to win the series. Matt Sonnhalter in the 33VT and the 57 of Justin Beecher entered the last round of the series tied atop the standings with Andrew Morin in the 30 car 22 points behind. With all drivers getting one drop race it was going to take a mathematician to figure out who won the series overall! Morin would lead the first 7 laps of the feature before giving way to Milton Duran in the #12 car. Duran would lose the lead on a lap 29 restart which would see a large pile up in turn one ending Duran’s day. Grant Aither in the 7oz took advantage of Duran’s misfortune and took the top spot. Aither would lead the rest of the way to capture the win. Geoff Rollins in the #02 made his way to the 2nd spot on lap 29 but despite all the pressure he applied to Aither just never had anything for him. Beecher took the 3rd spot at the same time but could never get close to the top 2 settling for the 3rd spot. Morin held on to finish 4th and Frankie Eldredge in the 30x rounded out the top 5. For note Sonnhalter crossed the finished 8th. In post-race technical inspection Aither was disqualified.

The Six Shooters ran two events. On Saturday they ran part of the Krupski Showdown Series Race with Steve Miller Sr. in the #68 taking the win. Then on Sunday they ran an open race with Michael Yeaton in the #25 ending up in victory.

Pure Stocks qualified on Saturday but had to wait till Sunday to run their feature event. Gregg Norton in the #19 parked in victory lane!

The Mini Stocks also had to wait till Sunday for their feature and they would see Nick Maniatis in the #63 take down the win.

Zacary Fraser drove his #37 to a win in the Ridge Runners as he led every lap.

The Claremont Spartan Colton Martin put his #4 machine in victory lane in the 604 Modified’s.

Open Street Stock’s were 26 cars deep and went 40 laps to see Geoff Rollins in the 02 take the win.

The Granite State Pro Stock Series came to town looking to crown a champion! “The Outlaw” Eddie MacDonald piloting the #50 took the win, while Casey Call in the #90 won the championship by 1 point! For full results and details check them out on Facebook or at gspss.net.

The Mighty Trucks made their Lee USA debut with the #88 of Matthew Mains going down in the record books as the first official winner at the 3/8th mile track.

Outlaws made their return to Lee USA Speedway with veteran driver Russ Hersey in the 88 taking the win.

The New England Dwarf Car Series made the trip to town as well with Tom Harwood in the orange #29 taking the win in the time-shortened race! For full details check them out online at nedwarfcarseries.com.

The Crown Vic’s made their long-awaited return to end the racing season at Lee USA with Jacob Michaud in the #82 taking the win!

Again, we want to thank all of those that joined us this past weekend or any time throughout the season and we hope to see you all in 2025!
