Busy Year Ahead Leads to Scheduling Adjustments for Local Late Model Events Barre, VT —It was announced today by Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour officials that the 100-lap event for ACT legal Late Models originally scheduled for June 19 at Lee USA Speedway has been moved to Friday, August 7 to remove the scheduling conflict with the Keith Morse Memorial event at Riverside Speedway. With the move, the Seacoast Late Model Challenge will still begin on Saturday, June 13 at Star Speedway followed by the Firecracker 100 at Lee USA Speedway on Friday, July 3. The Challenge will pick up with a second 100-lapper at Lee on Friday, August 7 before crowning the inaugural champion in the Don Francis Memorial 100 at Star on Saturday, August 15. “When we compiled the schedule in November for the Town of Lee, June 19 was an open date,” said ACT managing partner Cris Michaud. “Obviously that has changed and we’re willing to make an adjustment for the Keith Morse Memorial at Riverside.” With the annual Milton CAT Midsummer Classic 250 at White Mountain Motorsports Park scheduled for its usual first-Saturday-in-August date, the following weekend has typically been the annual rain-date for this $50,000+ event. Should the Milton CAT 250 need to be moved this year, the Lee 100-lapper would also move back a week to Friday, August 14, if needed. With today’s move also comes two more substitutions. The Squier Cup 100 lap event scheduled for July 30 has been moved to Thursday, August 13 as part of Vermont Tire & Service Night while the Kancamagus 150 at White Mountain Motorsports Park on July 25 has been changed to a 112-lap format to reflect the official route number of the famed New Hampshire byway. The Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour will officially kick off the 2026 season with the 6th annual Northeast Classic at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Sunday, April 19th alongside the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Super Late Models, Modified Racing Series, R&R Street Stock Open, Sunoco 604 Modifieds and the Pro Truck Challenge! Lee USA Speedway will kick off the 2026 season on Saturday, April 25 with the New Hampshire Governor’s Cup 150 for the Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour and the Strafford County 150 for the PASS Super Late Models headlining the four-division opening day! New Seacoast Challenge on Tap for ACT Late Models in 2026 at Lee USA and Star Speedways Lee, NH & Epping, NH— A new twist has been added into the 2026 Southern New Hampshire racing schedule! Two previously announced 100-lap events for ACT Late Models at Lee USA Speedway have been joined with two 100-lap events at Star Speedway to create a new Seacoast Late Model Challenge with each event featuring a $1,500 to win purse plus a $2,000 championship point fund for the top-three point chasers at season’s end! With the Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour joining forces with the Pro All Stars Series to promote events at Lee USA Speedway in 2026, the ACT Late Models are set to race at the iconic 3/8-mile several times this season. With nearby Star Speedway having hosted ACT Late Models as a track championship division over the past several years, it came without surprise that the Seacoast Challenge could be possible! It all starts on Saturday, June 13th with a 100-lap affair at Star Speedway followed quickly with the Late Model 100 at Lee on Friday, June 19th. A short break brings the ACT Late Models back to Lee USA Speedway for the Firecracker 100 on Friday, July 3rd while the Seacoast Challenge champion is crowned at Star with the Don Francis Memorial 100 on Saturday, August 13th. All four events are scheduled for open weekends not already filled by Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour dates. “It was a no-brainer for us,” said ACT managing partner Cris Michaud. “We wanted to give teams an opportunity to race a few times at Lee and adding in this Challenge with Star Speedway gives drivers the chance to chase some money at two fun tracks in Southern New Hampshire.” “Working together with ACT, PASS and Lee USA is a win-win for both the tracks and racers,” said Star Speedway owner Bobby Webber. “It shows unity between the facilities and gives racers a chance to race some extra distance, extra money races during the season.” For the complete schedule and updates throughout the winter, visit www.leespeedway.com for more information as it’s available. The ACT and PASS organizations will host an informational meeting for teams interested in racing at Lee USA Speedway on Wednesday, January 21st at American Legion Post #69 in Somersworth, New Hampshire starting at 6:00pm. Full Circle for Michaud and Mayberry; ACT and PASS Lease Lee USA Speedway Barre, VT & Naples, ME — For the American-Canadian Tour’s Cris Michaud and the Pro All Stars Series’ Tom Mayberry, Lee USA Speedway has always held a special place. For Michaud, he fought 59 other cars for a starting spot in 2005’s Seacoast Late Model Challenge, later taking the lead from seven-time ACT champion Jean-Paul Cyr for the win. For Mayberry, Red and Judy McDonald believed in a new Super Late Model series back in 2001 and provided the launching pad for the Pro All Stars Series some twenty-five years ago. Now, the two have partnered once again to lease the 1/3-mile facility on the New Hampshire seacoast, ready to give back and return the famed oval to its place in Northeast racing prominence. Both of the Northeast’s premier full-fendered organizations are no strangers to the scene. The Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour travels across New England and Quebec while owning and operating the nationally renowned Thunder Road Int’l Speedbowl in Barre, Vermont and the fan-favorite White Mountain Motorsports Park in North Woodstock, New Hampshire. Similarly, the Pro All Stars Series has been the premier Super Late Model touring series in the Northeast since 2001 and owns and operates the nationally recognized Oxford Plains Speedway in Maine. The two organizations have also partnered to operate the famed Thompson Speedway in Connecticut since 2020 and now come together for another new journey in 2026. “I have always enjoyed the racing at Lee USA as a driver, spectator and official,” said ACT managing partner Cris Michaud. “Lee is easily one of the most recognized tracks in New England and I believe Tom (Mayberry) and I can build this great facility back to its pinnacle spot where it should be.” “When Cris approached me to do this with him, I wasn’t too sure at first,” said PASS President Tom Mayberry. “But, the more I thought about it, and the more we talked logistics, it all just came together very seamlessly. I know this will be a worthwhile adventure for both our organizations and certainly for the teams and fans that enjoy Lee USA Speedway as much as we do.” The partnership has crafted an exciting schedule starting with a Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour and PASS Super Late Model doubleheader in April and ending with Oktoberfest weekend on October 16, 17, 18. Friday night racing is set to run from late May to early September and will be announced after receiving approval from the Town of Lee. Mayberry and Michaud also noted the likely addition of various other divisions throughout New England could be added. Additional series set to invade the Lee oval will be the New England Supermodified Series (NESS) for several appearances, including the annual Ollie Silva Classic, the Kennebec Equipment PASS Modifieds and part of a special New Hampshire Late Model series under the ACT banner. Approximately six 350 Supermodifieds events will also be included in the schedule, all on non-conflicting dates with Star Speedway. The pair have also laid out the weekly series divisions for Friday night action at the coastal New Hampshire oval. Lee’s track championship line-up will continue to be headed by PASS-style Super Late Models and joined by a Street Stock/Super Street-type class similar to the Street Stock open rules recently run at Oxford Plains Speedway during the PASS 400 weekend. Weekly divisions will also include the popular Mad Bomber/Slingshot/Ridge Runner-type division, Crown Vics and Six Shooters/Cruisers to round out the weekly warriors that call Lee home on Friday nights. A full rules package is being reviewed and will be released in coming weeks, but Michaud noted he did not expect large sweeping changes. “We do not want rules to be the biggest deciding factor if a team races or not. We would rather work with those drivers and figure out what makes sense for everyone,” said Michaud. For more information about the Pro All Stars Series, contact the Oxford Plains Speedway offices at (207) 539-8865, [email protected], or visit www.proallstarsseries.com.
